The Board of Education of Joppa-Maple Grove Community Unit School District No. 38 is requesting sealed competitive bids from qualified individuals and/or organizations to provide Pupil Transportation for the Joppa-Maple Grove Community Unit School District No. 38. The contract period will commence upon execution of the Pupil Transportation Agreement in 2014 (for services during the 2014-2015 school year) and will continue until June 30, 2017 (for services during the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 school years) with an option to renew for multiple one-year terms in accordance with the terms of the Pupil Transportation Agreement, the School Code and as may be agreed to by the parties.
Bid Specifications may be obtained at the District Office of Joppa-Maple Grove Community Unit School District No. 38 beginning on March 17, 2014 during the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The District office is located at 911 Joppa North Avenue, Joppa, IL 62953. In the alternative, Bid Specifications may be requested by calling the District Office at (618) 543-7589 or by mailing a written request for Specifications addressed to: Bill Biggerstaff, Superintendent, Joppa-Maple Grove Community Unit School District No. 38, 911 Joppa North Avenue, P.O. Box 10, Joppa, IL 62953.
Sealed bids must be submitted on the Bid Forms provided, must include all information and materials requested in the Bid Specifications and additional Bid Documents, and must be received in the District office of Joppa-Maple Grove by 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, after which time they will be opened and read aloud. No bids shall be accepted after this stated time. Please mark the sealed envelope “Pupil Transportation Bid.”
The Board of Education reserves the right to accept and/or reject all bids, to waive all irregularities in bidding procedure, and to make all decisions in the best interest of the School District.
