Mrs. Bellamey has a scholarship application for a senior who has epilepsy.
Mrs. Bellamey has the AMVETS scholarship applications in her office. To be eligible, the applicant must have taken the ACT or SAT, be an Illinois high school senior, and be a child or grandchild of a Veteran of the United States of America who served after September 15, 1940, and was Honorably Discharged or who is presently serving in the military.
First Quarter Report Cards were sent home with the students last Friday, October 19th.
SEMO’s Department of Agriculture, Department of Industrial & Engineering Technology, and College of Science, Technology & Agriculture are hosting an open house on Saturday, November 10th, from 1:30 – 3:00 pm in the Otto and Della Seabaugh Polytechnic Building. This will follow Show Me Day, an overall “showcase” of the entire University. A representative from WKCTC and UK’s engineering program will be at Joppa on October 22 at 10 am. Any juniors or seniors interested should sign up on Mrs. Bellamey’s door.
Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors will have the opportunity to visit Murray State University’s campus on October 30th. We will eat at Murray’s cafeteria for $5 (all you can eat). Students need to return their permission slip and $5 to Mrs. Bellamey.
The next available ACT is on December 8th. Sign up before November 2 to avoid a late fee.
A representative from WKCTC (Western Kentucky College & Technical College) will be here during lunch on October 22nd.
